If I could save time in a bottle

The first thing I'd do, unlike Jim Croce, is give as much to my sister as she wanted. I'm sure her epitaph's going to read "Just 5 more minutes?"

I can't believe it's been almost a year since I started soaping. Well it's been over a year but my website is  just coming up for renewal now, so that's how I count the time. I must admit, I started off enthusiastically, but have sort of waned since then. Again, I am in awe of all you moms out there who do all that you do and then some. If I had kids, they'd be eating whatever they could scrape off the floor on many occasions because I'd be too lazy to cook.

I know a lot of it is just learning to manage my time better, be more organized and just give myself a good kick in the butt to get going. But like so many others around me, it's easier to give into being overwhelmed by all that needs to be done and then just do nothing.

So, how do you motivate yourself to do the things you don't feel like doing?

  1. Don't ask me...obviously I'm still trying to figure out how to motivate myself. :}

    Actually, my SF writers critique group is my motivation because the Skipper sets a schedule and we have to abide by or it get kicked out. Nothing motivates me like fear! LOL!

  2. And if you can't motivate yourself, then find good excuses as to why you're not getting things done. ;)

    Fear is always a good motivator, unless there's money to be had, that's an even better motivator.

  3. Money can be a great motivator, but fear seems to motivate me more. :P

    1. That's cuz you don't have real money worries. What do you fear that motivates you? I know it's not snakes. ;)

    1. That's beautiful Grace, I wish I could have more positive motivations in my life but I'm more driven by the negatives to succeed. Guess all those beatings as a child taught me something after all. ;D
