I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille

My soaps are no Norma Desmond, but I did want to focus in on them more to in these pictures.

It began before Christmas actually, when hubby helped me re-do some of the pictures, such as this one. My latest pictures aren't nearly as theatrical but they are a start and are less stark than the old pictures. It's difficult to decide which is their best side, so here's a sneak preview of some while I decide which ones to put up on the site. If you have any opinions, I'd love to hear them.

BTW, yes I was hoping to get these up in time for Valentine's but it went whizzing past me like The Flash again.

Happy New Year

It's Chinese New Year today, the year of the Snake.  According to http://www.infoplease.com/,
"legend has it that in ancient times, Buddha asked all the animals to meet him on Chinese New Year. Twelve came, and Buddha named a year after each one. He announced that the people born in each animal's year would have some of that animal's personality. Those born in snake years are wise, charming, gregarious, introverted, generous, and smart. Audrey HepburnBob DylanJean SimmonsOprah WinfreyVirginia WoolfBrad PittGreta Garboand Sir Roger Bannister were born in the year of the snake."

I wish everyone a very prosperous and happy New Year with lots of  (good fortune), 祿 (prosperity) and 寿(long life).

If the Best Laid Schemes of Mice and Men

Gang aft agley, what about the worst laid plans?

I made good plans, I booked a 3 week trip to visit my sister. However, I didn't think to look ahead to see when spring craft fairs take place, and they seem to all be happening around the time I'm away. I don't know why they don't consult my schedule before planning these things, don't they know who I am? ;)

On the bright side, it gives me more time to plan for Christmas and the following spring's craft fairs.

How far ahead do you plan for things?
