Chocolates and wine

This should probably have been my Valentine's post, but I'm always a little behind the times. I'm not crazy over the colour of these "chocolates" (anyone have any ideas how to make it look more chocolate-y?) but the mould is originally a chocolate mould. It is scented with a chocolate FO to help it seem more realistic.

  1. OMG, those are gorgeous! And if you use BB's Dark Rich Chocolate, you will have everyone trying to eat them.

    1. Thanks darling! They turned out better in the picture than in person for a change. I used hot cocoa fudge or something like that from Crafter's Choice, so hopefully that's enough to make people want to eat it.

    2. I don't think I've smelled that before; most people like any sort of chocolate scent, so I think you're good. :)

  2. Woo- hoo, dark chocolate pralines! That one rectangular from the first picture looks like it was mixed with white chocolate, so cool! How did.you get the white stripes?

    1. Dark chocolate, the food of choice for women everywhere right Maja? ;) The white stripes you see is actually a lighting trick, the mould is ridged and the light just happened to shine on it that way. Believe you me, I'd have a hard time getting all white stripes into that tiny mould.

  4. They look pretty chocolate-y to me, just like the real thing! These would make cute novelty gifts, as long as no one tries to eat them!

    1. Thanks Jenny! I guess people would take one bite and learn to look a little more closely at every chocolate thereafter. :D

    1. You make scrumptious desserts Nat, so that must satisfy all your sweet tooth cravings.

I guess to me, the colour just didn't seem right, but if a chocolate aficionado like you says they look good, then I have to believe it. :)
