You know the old saying about patience is a virtue, blah, blah, blah pretty face. That might explain why I don't have a pretty face, mine is more deer in headlights.
I had made a couple of follow-up email inquiries to some people and didn't hear back. I was crushed, I thought, oh great, I'll never hear back again. Imagine my surprise when I did get a response. Unfortunately, it wasn't what I wanted to hear, but it wasn't a no at least. Which means I need to learn some patience when I contact people. Like most everyone else though, I feel that as soon as I send an email, the recipient should respond immediately.
Hah! Great cartoon! I have no patience either...gee, how can you tell we're sisters?
ReplyDeleteBummer the answer wan't an outright yes. But, work on that patience, Grasshopper. It will be a yes one day soon. That's what happened with my stories anyway. 1 yes...10+ no's. *sigh*
I know, the cartoon's so appropriate isn't it? I shared it on FB as well. I wasn't really expecting a sale out of it since they're still going through their own growing pains, but it didn't hurt to ask.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I gather, you have to write some steamy novel, it doesn't have to be well written, just steamy and that'll get people to buy your stories.
I don't do steamy...novels or weather. ;)
DeleteHow about showers?
