A co-worker recently had to take a leave of absence, so our social committee asked people to contribute to a care package for her. In addition to chips (because we always give to others what we want, right?) I made some relaxing bath salts. I scoured Pinterest for a relatively easy recipe that would use whatever ingredients I had on hand.
This is a simple recipe of Epsom salts, Himalayan pink salt, baking soda and rose petals. I enhanced the scent by adding some baby rose FO to it. Although most people would say that lavender is the soothing scent, I thought I'd push the rose theme and to me, it's comforting without making you crave chocolate.
What's your favourite way to relax? Is there a scent that helps you mellow?
Sleep is my fav way to relax. ;) That is SO pretty! I should give you some of the dishes we don't use for you to sell bath salts in.
ReplyDeleteSleeping and/or eating good food are good ways to relax Teresa. :) I hope it managed to stay looking nice, not sure how it transports.
DeleteI love the scent of rose. So pretty! I like the sweet touch of rose buds in the center too. I am sure the receiver will be very pleased with their care package.
ReplyDeleteI like rose as long as it's not overpowering. I like to think the recipient enjoys her bath time.
DeleteI would like to receive from my colleagues such a present like yours, Monica! Rose is nice, but I am also into lavender when it comes to relax!
ReplyDeleteWe are always in a rush, that I would say I forgot what this means to relax, but when it happens( seldom) i love to read a good book. Taking pics or drawing is alos a way of relaxing for me ;)
Aww, that's sweet of you to say Nat! I do hope my co-worker likes it. Lavender is a great relaxing scent, and very popular too.
DeleteYour forms of relaxation sound great, and we benefit from your photo taking relaxation. ;)
