No wait, I can't. Why? Because I'm still not using a clear base. I thought the honey base would provide a nice glow, giving the soap a sunshine-y feel to it, but it's given it more of a "I haven't cleaned my sunglasses so things are kinda blurry" feel to it instead. But it smells nice at least, scented with black raspberry vanilla.
This was supposed to be a beach-y scene, but it's hard to see the sand and sky. |
Also, you can't really see the hard work (hah!) put into making the embeds different colours |
Almost looks better from the back |
You can see more details from the side, but who looks at soaps from the side? |
Take my picture at 3/4 angle, that's my best side. |
See, so much prettier at an angle. |
Hope you're having a sunshine-y week!
The last 4 photos look really nice and like a real beach scene!
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks Teresa! I probably should've used a more beach-y scent, but I didn't think that far ahead.
DeleteMe want. :-) *waves* I thought I'd see what you're up to. LOVE.
ReplyDelete*Waving back!* Great to see you Robyn! I'd love to share my soaps and get feedback from friends! I usually give them out and no one says anything. But maybe no news is good news?
DeleteSuch a good Laugh! You go into so complicated projects! Beach scenes, my god! Try a snow scene next time;-). Though you may try adding animals and trees... All your soaps are absolutely unique and bursting with life! This is such a pleasure to discover them! Can t wait for your next idea!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad my moments of insanity can make you laugh Madame Propre! I will definitely have to try a snow scene maybe for winter time. If I had real patience, I would carve out trees and if I had real skill, I'd attempt animals too. ;) I'm looking forward to being inspired as well. Now if I could only package up my soaps as beautifully as you do.
DeleteSure you can package your soaps beautifully! Try aliexpress website. There are a lot of options at very good prices!
ReplyDeleteThanks Madame Propre! I wil have to take a look.
