Sci-Fi Mashup

Some days, you come up with what you think are great ideas, and put them into practice and they come out...well, sorta, not really how you expected. Such was this idea.

I thought it'd be cool to do a pseudo Han Solo frozen in carbonite from The Empire Strikes Back scene. Without a Han Solo doll. Without carbonite either, or anything else from that scene for that matter. Just the sci fi sort of idea. Never mind. Well it does have the Death Star, so there's the Star Wars link.

I've been hoarding waiting for a good time to use these adorable little aliens ever since my sister gave me her soaping supplies, and figured it's time to stop hoarding (at least little plastic figurines) and start putting them to good use.

I didn't mind the Stephenson soaps being a bit more cloudy in this application, although it would be way cooler if you could almost see the alien inside, but maybe it'll just make washing more fun.

Glitter makes everything better, doesn't it?

These female aliens seem to do a better job of guarding their pal.

Have a great, geeky week everyone!

  3. They are great!! I think you are right, it makes washing more fun if you have to work to see the alien inside, revealing it little by little each time :-)

    1. Well great might be overstating it, but I think having a prize to work towards is always great motivation. ;)

  4. On the other hand, I am not sure you want friends who need prizes in order to get to the shower, do you? These soaps will keep everyone very young in their head every morning, this is a great way to start one' s day!

    1. You're so right Madame Propre, those would be very high maintenance friends. :D My prize in the morning is coffee, but not in the shower. I do hope younger people would like the idea of having something to work towards.
