Aaah, Freak Out

Ahh, Freak out!
Le Freak, c’est chic.

Not so much in my case, mine is more the classic freak out, as in panic!! It’s tax season (which is enough reason to panic in and of itself) plus I need to apply for spring craft fairs and we all know how I’ve made procrastination into a profession.

So there you go, my version of “my dog ate my homework” as to why I have nothing new to show this week.

I hope you have a great week. Let me know what motivates you to get things done.

(I never knew the name of the band that sang that song until I googled it, did you?)

  1. I don't know the song, but I can understand why it is your theme song at the moment. Tax season is a miserable time.

So what motivates me, a fellow procrastinator? Deadlines and desperation do wonders for my motivation! I also play little games with myself, like telling myself that I only have to do a yucky job for 30 min. a day until the job is done, for example. Often I get so absorbed in the project that I just keep working until it gets done. I also "reward" myself sometimes, telling myself if I finish something I've been putting off, I get to do something I enjoy, like baking, making soap, watching a movie.

Hopefully, you'll be able to take a deep breath and plow through and get it done. Think of all the soapmaking ahead when all this paperwork agony is over!

    1. Just goes to show how much younger you are than I am Amy. ;) I normally don't dislike tax season as much but this year, I've decided to tackle it on our own again. Not that it's difficult, just I'm so bad with that sort of thing.

Those are great ideas for getting things done, and yes, desperation is often what gets me moving as well. But I find I'm so ADD, like yesterday I was trimming fish and rather than finish cutting off one fin, I move onto another one, like it's going to make it any easier.

When I get my taxes done, I'm rewarding myself with chocolate and wine!

    1. I think you should get a quieter clock then Teresa. :D As you know it never all gets done, something else always comes to fill the void in the to do list.

    1. I think the phrase is "seriously insane" Silvia, but I do appreciate your tact. :)

    1. Thanks Jenny! Too bad there wasn't a house elf that did housework and your taxes! That would be my ultimate wish. :D

  5. I know the song, I've always liked it, but I admit, never had a clue of the band.
I'm sure you'll get everything done just in time and I'll looking forward to seeing new pics from the craft shows!

    1. It's funny how some songs you get to know so well, but never know the artist isn't it Maja?

Oh I love your faith in me, so biased, so untrue. :D But thank you!
