If it's Fall, It must be hockey season

As the weather turns cool (or downright snowy in some parts of Canada. That's right Alberta, I'm looking at you. I know you had snow a few weeks back), Canadians' thoughts start turning to hockey. Actually, I don't know when Canadians don't talk about hockey, even in the summer; who's looking to get traded, who's playing golf on which course, who's designing their 5th uniform in 3 years.

Truth be known, and I shouldn't say this too loudly, but I'm not a hockey fanatic. That in a hockey crazed province like this is the sort of thing that can get a person ostracized for life. It's like walking into a church and proclaiming you don't believe in god. Not the best thing to do to enhance one's social life.

But I can play or soap hockey with the best of them.

This is my second attempt, but it'll take one more try to get it just right.

A little overzealous, didn't let the green cool down enough before pouring.

Here's to the start of another fight, I mean, hockey season. ;) Oh, and thanks to JELL-O for the mould.

Are you a hockey fanatic or is your favourite sport winding down?

  1. I love your hockey pucks! I am sure they will be a big hit with your customers.

My favorite sport is the latter. :)

    1. Thanks Silvia! Yeah living in a hockey country, I'm sure I'll find someone who would like these soaps. :)

So when you watch sports, do you yell at the tv too? ;)

  2. I love those! What a great idea!

Well, you know my hockey hey days are over. I still like tennis but that's about it (I won't watch it until they completely ban the banshee wailing though...women tennis players are the worst).

    1. Very few things can't be used as soap moulds, right Teresa? This is one of those moulds we picked up together this summer.

I know, men's tennis is one of my favourite sports to watch, although soccer, if they could stop being such drama queens, would be my second favourite.

  3. Those hockey puck soaps look great, Monica! I don't care much about sports, although I do like to watch the running events, gymnastics, and figure skating when the Olympics roll around.

    1. Thanks Jenny! I think Olympics sports are great in that not only do you see great skills at work, but it helps to bring nations together under a common goal.

  4. I don't care for hockey, but the pucks look so real, except colours, which make them so adorable. Love those colours.
Hey, don't give any to a passionate hockey fan, I'm not sure where it will finish up, ;-)

    1. No hockey for you Maja? What do you like for sports? The colours are based on the teams; I'd love to fill in the details with the team colours, but that would be beyond my skill set.

LOL, we could get into some bubbly fights if a fan gets the soap for the opposing team. ;)
