Randomness

I don't have anything exciting to tell you wonderful people about, so I'll just share a few pictures and thoughts that have absolutely nothing to do with soap.

I had a baking binge last weekend. I had borrowed some cookbooks from the library, and couldn't resist trying out some of the recipes. I don't know why I like baking sweets so much since I'm much more of a savoury gal, but I always end up making sweets, such as these

Hot chocolate chip brownie sundae cake

Banana oatmeal chocolate chip cookies

Biscotti

One of the duties in my new position is to register people for courses. To pay for these courses, they can either send a cheque or give their credit card. In this day of paranoia, I'm amazed that people hand over their credit cards so freely. Many people still don't trust e-shopping, but they're willing to give out their information to a total stranger? I guess they feel that since I'm associated with a recognized organization, there's a certain amount of accountability.

  1. I am SO gonna try making the chocolate pudding cake! In fact, it's a good one to have son1 try making with the chocolate chips he had me buy. ;)

  2. It's certainly an easy enough recipe for ds1 to make, and it's super tasty, so it might end up in his own recipe box.

  3. Mmmmmm! That first one is calling my name. I'm in NEED of chocolate right now. Your blog post is teasing me. I'm like you... I love to bake and I never eat it. Not because I don't like sugar though, just because if I do I'll never stop :D

    1. I'll be happy to share the recipe with you Michelle, it's super easy and unless you quadruple the recipe like hubby wanted me to do, it's not that much sugar. ;)

You have kids, you can use them as the excuse to bake and "taste test" what you've made, you know, just to make sure it's okay for the kids. ;>

    2. I guess that eliminates the vodka popsicles :(

I'd love the recipe. I can see a big ball of vanilla ice cream sitting on top of that chocolate right now. YUM!

    3. I'll email you the recipe. Are you sure you haven't seen it already because that's exactly what the picture shows. :)

  4. I am hungry right now! All the goodies look very "sweet"- just my style!

Ha! Credit cards- I had American Express call this week- that a dollar posted on my account (which indicates a fraudulent action could be taken place)- after the dollar goes through the criminal then goes for the big bucks....I was glad the credit card company called me to check if I had done this. The answer was NO- and they stopped the card.

    Hope work is going well-

    1. I'd share my baked goods with you any day Carrie. Glad the credit card company caught it before the crook could do any worse damage. Darn people!
