Listen to your mother, she's always right

That's a note to my nephews, not to myself. :)

My sister told me to not to get discouraged when I hadn't heard back from a potential client, but rather ask again. Silence isn't necessarily a no, it could be that the person is busy, forgot to write back, or lost the original request. So, having learning from past mistakes, I listened to my sister this time and wrote again to this person. This time, she did respond and said she's still very interested and looking to order 425 letters from me! This won't allow me to quit work and retire right away but it's a good start to hopefully something bigger. She's looking for alphabet letters like the ones below, but in bright colours. Good thing I picked up some hot pink colouring earlier because that's the sort of colours she's looking for.

In the meanwhile, I'm also working on putting together a presentation for the Vancouver Aquarium and  Science World.  With any luck, they'll want to support a little local company that has a good product to offer.

  1. Woohoo!!!! Happy dance!! :) I am absolutely thrilled to pieces that she wants to order so many from you, and I hope that this is just the first of a bazillion orders that will come your way!

    Go get 'em, honey! <3

And yes, you can tell my kids that you know from 44 years of experience that I am 90% right. ;D

    1. Yes, it'll be a nice order and i'm hoping I can wow the other two places and have them order tons as well. I have more work to do in terms of writing up a proposal and stuff, but I'm sure they'll eventually succumb to my charms and soaps. ;D

Your kids will just think I'm insane and/or senile, and you know what? They're right. ;)

  2. Of course you'll charm them with your personality and products! I have never had any doubts about that. :)

My kids are never right, no matter what they say. ;)

    1. Or worst case scenario, I'll have to meet them in person and start crying if they say no.

Your kids say lots, you just stopped listening. ;)

    2. Heehee...crying will work really well on some people. ;)

You're right about my not listening to my kids. Just returning the favor, really. :P

    3. Crying usually only works well on older males hence why so many females went into secretarial work.

Oh dang, the kids learn quick, don't they?

    1. Thanks Michelle! It's so great to see you again. I'm going to have to make sure I have the perfect sales pitch ready to go to the Aquarium and Science World and you're right, it would be awesome to have my soaps in such cool places.
