A continuation of contrasts

I liked the idea of contrast so much I decided to do some more and this time try and get a brighter background.
I know, dragonflies are much brighter than this, but I really wanted a contrast.

And my sister-in-law asked me to make her some wine guest soaps for her shop.

Scented with BB's Bordeaux Blend

Short and sweet for a change. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

  1. Good contrast and wonderful detail on the dragonfly soap, Monica.
I think it's cool to have a wine shop and to have matching guest soaps. :)

    1. Thanks Silvia! I love doing the detail work sometimes, it makes me slow down and concentrate. Eventually I'd like to make some CP soaps with wine in it, I think that could make a good addition to the store.

    1. That's so nice of you Teresa! I still feel the need to play around with the colours some more because although the detailing shows, I don't think I have the perfect colour combination.

Oh sure, ask me a difficult question. ;) I can't remember what I used this time, but it smells kinda like strawberries.

    1. Thank you Nat! I have to admit, the dragonfly turned out a lot better than I was expecting, so I'm pleased with that.

I hope the wine soaps will be a welcome addition to the store, people seem to like having new things to look at and try out when they are regular shoppers at a particular store.

The dragonfly soap is gorgeous, the 'lake' -green is fantastic

    1. You do remember correctly Maja. The original grape soap was a full sized one, these are the small guest sized soaps this time. But you have an amazing memory, can I borrow your brain when I need to remember stuff?

Glad you like the dragonfly soap, I really like the pattern, but still need to work on the dragonfly's colour.

    1. Thanks Jenny! I kind of worry that the "grapes" will start to bleed into the rest of the soap, but then I guess that'd be turning the grapes into wine. ;)

The dragonfly has such great detail to the mould, it really makes for a pretty soap.
