Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful moms out there. You do a job that many of us couldn't: take care of others while doing a gazillion other things. And this is why I don't have kids, let alone pets and barely plants, I don't have the skills to do it all.
There was a storybook I loved as a child, called
My Mother is the Most Beautiful Woman in the World, about a child who is looking for his mother, and describes her as the most beautiful woman in the world. I think the same is true the other way around, moms think their kids are the most beautiful things in the world, regardless of whether or not the rest of the world thinks so.
So, I present to you, my "child". I'm realistic enough to know it's not beautiful, in fact, my hubby looked at it, and said it has a more "adult" look to it than looking like a stormtrooper embedded in a heart (in case you can't see it), but it's a labour of love, like most children. It was a difficult one to do because of the curve on the heart and the stormtrooper wasn't exactly a flat piece either. But we love our kids, warts, curves and odd behaviours and all, right?
I hope your kids, if you have any, treat you to an extra something special today, but that they also treat you every like it's Mother's Day.
