We got to see The Avengers movie on Wednesday, courtesy of Acura. It's a fun movie and I do recommend seeing it. Joss Whedon as anyone who's watched his shows knows, writes some great lines into his stories and this was no exception. Robert Downey Jr knows how to deliver his lines to get the most laughs and having Chris Hemsworth in the movie didn't hurt either.
What I like about Joss Whedon's shows is he likes to have strong female characters. Black Widow, aka Natasha Romanoff kicks butt, literally. Scarlett Johansson's smoking hot but her character doesn't use her physical beauty to get her way. That's what I'd like to be like when I grow up, a confident woman who knows what she can accomplish without having to resort to using her feminine wiles.
I just want her slinky outfit. ;D JK! I wish I had that sort of confidence too. Let's blame our lack of it on our parents. LOL!
ReplyDeleteIs it genetic to have a lack of confidence, kinda like our height problems?
DeleteProb a bit of nature, a bit of nurture. Either way, we can blame it on our parents!
DeleteWe like to blame our parents for as much as we can.
DeleteWe are going to see this movie tonight. I can't wait! I love the Tony Stark character that Robert Downey plays. He makes the movies so fun. Hubby is a comic book addict so we own the Hulk movies, Thor, yadda yadda yadda, and now he has me addicted. lol!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I think your hubby has great taste in movies. ;)
DeleteI agree with Monica...your hubby's tastes are impeccable! ;D We love superhero stuff.
DeleteWe loved it! I think Mark Ruffalo is great as the hulk and of course Robert Downey Jr. is dreamy :) I hope they make more movies with the same cast.
ReplyDeleteI loved how Downey deadpans, it made the lines the much funnier. With the good reviews they've had so far, I can't see how they can't do another one.
DeleteHaley and John loved it! I am going to wait for the dvd to come out. Sounds like it's really good though!
ReplyDeleteDid they go watch it in 3D? I didn't think it made a difference until I saw it for myself, now I'm a believer. Definitely worth watching on the big screen if you can.
DeleteI'm not sure if they saw if in 3D or not. I don't usually care for 3D, but maybe technology is getting better and I'll like it now. I think the last thing I saw in 3D was Avatar and that was 3 years ago so maybe I'll like it now. And since Haley loved the movie so much I think I might be convinced to go see it before it comes out on dvd. :)
DeleteI hadn't seen 3D since I was probably in my teens, so 3000 years ago. ;> It's definitely come a long way since then. You're right, in 3 years they could do a lot to enhance the 3D experience.
